Police van taken away at gunpoint

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 29: Four armed bandits snatched official van from the staff of Motorway police near Halani on Saturday.

Reports said that the incident took place when the van was returning to the town after dropping a senior patrolling officer in Mohram Halepoto village.

Police said that Supervising Police Officer of Mehrabpur Abdul Aleem Kalhoro and SHO of Mehrabpur with a heavy contingent of police chased the bandits and arrested an accused after a raid on Shahmir Mangrio village.

COUNCIL: The district council on Saturday unanimously approved 138 development schemes including purchase of 30 motorcycles for education department.
