LARKANA: Benazir criticised for holding talks with army

LARKANA, Sept 9: The chairperson of PPP- SB, Ghinwa Bhutto, has said that Benazir Bhutto is striking a deal with General Parvez Musharraf only to exonerate herself from the cases registered against her. She was exploiting democracy, people and sovereignty of the country to reach a deal, Ms Ghinwa added.

She rejected Ms Bhutto’s statement that had late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto been alive, he would have held dialogue with army rulers.

In a statement issued from Al-Murtaza House, she said Ms Bhutto’s opinion had negated the historic role of Z.A.Bhutto.

Perhaps Ms Bhutto’s had underestimated her father’s acumen and failed to read his vision and wisdom, she said.

Ms Bhutto, Ms Ghinwa said, was only serving her interests and engaged in dialogues with the military dictators. The difference between Z.A Bhutto and Benazir was crystal clear, she added.
