NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 4: A large number of activists of political parties and non-governmental organisations staged a rally, which started from Allahwala Chowk on the National Highway and terminated at the press club in protest against Hesco and irrigation department on Saturday.

The protesters led by Sindh United Party leader Ghulam Rasool Sehto, Masroor Chandio, Khan Dahri, and Gul Moro alleged that Hesco was issuing inflated bills and subjecting consumers to unannounced load-shedding for several hours a day.

They complained that the tail-end growers of Darbelo minor, Serhal minor, Sangi minor and Sehra minor were not receiving water and thousands of acres of land was turning into wastelands.

They demanded that higher authorities of Hesco and irrigation hold inquiry and take action against the officers responsible for creating problems for people.
