18 Indian fishermen held

KARACHI, March 14: The Maritime Security Agency (MSA) on Wednesday took into custody 18 Indian fishermen for fishing illegally in Pakistan’s territorial waters and seized three boats.

According to a press release, MSA ship Vehdat was on routine patrol in the Eastern Maritime Region when it found three boats fishing illegally about 97 nautical miles inside the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Pakistan.

The Indian fishermen were warned several times not to indulge in illegal fishing but they repeatedly entered the EEZ.
