Multan women varsity draft
MULTAN, Feb 13: A draft act has been submitted to the Punjab Assembly to establish the Women University Multan, and is likely to be passed by the assembly in its next session.
This was said by a university spokesman and former EDO (education) Prof Nazir Ahmed while talking to this agency here on Tuesday.
He said PC-1 for the university for Rs710 million had been submitted, and the building’s design approved by the competent authority.
DCO Iftikhar Babar is project director for the university, which has already started classes in four disciplines on premises of the Government College for Women, Kutchery Road.
Prof Ahmed said of the total outlay, Rs570 million would be spent on the building and Rs140 million on the initial running expenditures. — APP
