HYDERABAD: Tribute paid to Karbala martyrs

HYDERABAD, Jan 28: Sindhi Adabi Sangat (SAS), Matiari chapter, organised a "Mehfil-i-Masalama" at the Jamote House to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala late on Saturday night.

Paying tributes to the Islam’s great martyrs former speaker of Sindh assembly Hussain Haroon said that Imam Hussain (RA) had become a symbol of struggle against tyrants.

Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions waged a holy war against a tyrant and with their sacrifices showed the oppressed people the way to eternal success, he said.

District Nazim Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Jamote said that the sorld history could not show a parallel to the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain.

Thousands of people attended the Mehfil-e-Masalama where epic poems and marsiyas were recited by Imdad Hussaini, Dr. Habibullah Siddiqui, Ghulam Hussain Sacharvi, Naz Latifi, Mehar Hussain Bux Lund and Pir Bahauddin Sirhindi.
