A lame summer experience

This concerns the story “A lame summer experience” by Alisha Khan (YW, June 20). The story felt very realistic because it showed how one careless decision can have lasting consequences.

I could imagine the frustration of being stuck indoors while everyone else was enjoying their summer. The ending was a reminder that patience is just as important as courage during recovery.

This is regarding the story “From friends to rivals” by Nimra Azhar (YW, June 20), which reflected how easily people can damage their relationships by getting involved in unnecessary arguments.

While we may disagree with someone, we should always respect the other person’s opinion and never take differences personally.

The story carried a powerful message and encouraged readers to value friendships over arguments. I really enjoyed reading it.

Father’s Day: fathers in the wild

This is regarding the article “Father’s Day: fathers in the wild” by Marvi Soomro (YW, June 20).

The information in the article was new to me, as I had no idea that so many animal fathers also play such an important role in raising their young. Learning about species in which fathers protect, carry and even care for their babies was fascinating.

The article was packed with interesting facts, yet it was enjoyable.

Save like Scrooge!

This is regarding the article “Save like Scrooge!” by Shahmeer Asif (YW, June 28). Instead of simply telling readers to save money, the article explained practical ways to build good spending habits from an early age.

I liked the idea of giving every rupee a purpose because it makes saving feel more meaningful. The references to Uncle Scrooge made the article fun, while at the same time encouraging readers to think more carefully before spending their allowance.
