KARACHI: A minor girl was killed while her father and teenage brother were injured when a water tanker hit a motorcycle in the Landhi Industrial Area on Friday, police and rescue services officials said.

A traffic police official said that a man, along with his two children, was travelling on a motorcycle when the tanker hit the bike near the main gate of Ghani Glass. As a result, a four-year-old girl, Anam, was killed. Her brother, Abdul Rehman, 15, and father, Abdul Jalil, were injured.

They were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

The tanker driver managed to escape from the spot, leaving behind the heavy vehicle that was impounded by the police.
