SUKKUR: The Sukkur District and Sessions Court has ordered registration of a case against a nine-member police team over killing of a man in, what was described as ‘encounter’ on Oct 16, 2025.

The police team headed by the then SHO of the Pannu Aqil police station, Shakoor Lako, had claimed that they had killed a suspected criminal, Jehangir Jakhrani, in the police encounter.

He said that the court directed the FIA that in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, a criminal case be registered against SHO Shakoor Lako and eight other policemen allegedly involved in the incident.
