‘Killer’ of CCD official killed in Balochistan ‘encounter’

GUJRAT: Three suspects, including a suspect claimed to be involved in the killing of an official of the Gujrat Crime Control Department (CCD) and escaped to Balochistan, have been killed in encounters.

As per details, CCD official Fiaz Shah was allegedly shot dead by two motorcyclists during a police chase in Jalalpur Jattan city on May 7.

A case was lodged against suspects, however, police later identified the main shooter as Noman Nasir of Behalpur village through a video footage. Police claimed the suspect had fled the province.

As per the FIR lodged with the Gwadar City Police station, police came to know about the presence of suspect Noman, wanted by the Gujrat Police, in an area near the Gwadar sea on May 21. It further stated that the suspect was about to flee the country along with five others through a boat. Police claimed that a police party raided the area and the suspects divided into two groups and started firing. As a result, Noman was killed, while his accomplices managed to flee.

A case was filed against the suspects on the report of Gwadar City SHO.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Police claimed that Makkuana Police post in-charge ASI Sher Nawab was taking detainee Ali Raza to Chak 211 RB for recovery when his four accomplices allegedly opened fire on the police party and freed the accused.

Police claimed that Khurrianwala SHO Atif Shahzad reached the spot along with additional force and chased the suspects near Chak 109 RB. The accused again started firing on the police party and it was retaliated.

After the firing stopped, police claimed accused Ali Raza was found seriously injured. He was shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His accomplices managed to flee, police claimed. Meanwhile, during a campaign to arrest proclaimed offenders joint teams of Lyallpur Town and Iqbal Town circle CCD had set up a picket at Chohla Chowk in Faisalabad. The teams intercepted four suspects riding motorcycles but they started firing, which was returned. When the firing stopped, suspect Shahid Barrel of Chak 256 RB was found dead. Police claimed he was killed in firing by his accomplices, who escaped.
