Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian has threatened that any aggression by the US or Israel “will be met with a global crisis”.

“By cutting submarine cables, Iran could disrupt global internet, digital economies, and banking for years,” he writes on X. “Iran’s sovereignty is non-negotiable.”
