Chinese President Xi Jinping has renewed his calls for an immediate end to all hostilities in the Middle East during his meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Beijing, Al Jazeera reports, citing Xinhua.

Xi also said that the situation in the Gulf is at a “critical juncture between war and peace”.
