Talks between Israel and Lebanon on an expiring ceasefire were “positive” and will take place as planned for a second day, a US official said, AFP reports.

“We had a full day of productive and positive talks that lasted from 9am to 5pm (1300-2100 GMT). We look forward to continuing this tomorrow and hope to have more to share then,” a senior State Department official said.
