ICCBS-LNH deal on research
KARACHI: The International Center for Chemical & Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University (KU), and the Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening research collaborations.
Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on translational and clinical research projects that address pressing healthcare challenges and contribute to evidence-based medical advancements.
The partnership will also focus on capacity building, training of healthcare professionals and researchers, and the development of research infrastructure aligned with international standards.
In his remarks, Director ICCBS Prof M. Raza Shah highlighted the institution’s commitment to advancing innovative research and creating opportunities for collaborative scientific endeavours that benefit the healthcare sector in Pakistan. He stated that such collaborations will have significant positive impact on the healthcare system.
LNH Medical Director Prof Salman Faridi talked about the importance of integrating clinical expertise with scientific research to improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
The collaboration is expected to pave the way for multidisciplinary research projects, enhance opportunities for faculty and student engagement, and support the development of clinical trial capabilities within the country.
