India says safe, unimpeded maritime flows vital for global economic well-being

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has said that “safe, unimpeded maritime flows” through international waters, including the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, are vital for global economic well-being, according to Reuters.

“We must also address the increasing resort to unilateral coercive measures and sanctions inconsistent with international law and the UN Charter,” Jaishankar has said in his speech at the meeting of BRICS foreign ministers in New Delhi.
