PTI vows to raise houses’ demolition issue in parliament
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Tuesday condemned the demolition of residential colonies of the federal capital including houses in Saidpur Village and vowed to raise their voice at the floor of the parliament and taking legal action.
Leaders included Secretary General PTI Salman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen and others.
They visited Saidpur Village and addressed the media after meeting residents affected by the ongoing demolition operations in the area.
Salman Akram Raja said the PTI delegation came to represent and stand with the victims of the demolitions.
He stated that after surveying the area, a deeply distressing situation had emerged.
“These are people who have been living here for generations, yet their homes are being demolished,” he said. “Residents are being displaced to make room for others.
