Man, kid injured, five goats killed by stray dogs

NAROWAL: Stray dogs injured a senior citizen and a child, besides killing various animals in different incidents in the last couple of days in Shakargarh tehsil.

According to local sources, a pack of stray dogs injured a senior citizen, Muhammad Siddique and a child, Ehsan Ali, at Kanjroor village in Shakargarh tehsil.

Meanwhile, in the same village, stray dogs allegedly attacked and killed five goats in the same village, besides injuring a buffalo.

The sources said stray dogs had also attacked goats at Paswal village of Kot Ninan.

Sabir Naz, a resident of Shakargarh tehsil, says that packs of stray dogs are seen roaming in the fields and streets at Reba Mor village and its surrounding area. He said that dogs also injured five goats in the same village.

Two locals, Nasir and Aftab Ahmed, expressed serious concern over the increasing number of stray dogs in the area.

They say they have made several requests to the health department and district administration to take steps to resolve the issue of stray dogs, but to no avail.
