Efforts on for revival of film industry: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the provincial government is taking all-out steps for the revival and promotion of the film industry.

He said this while chairing a meeting of the information department on Monday. The meeting was attended by acting Information Secretary Moiz Pirzada, Director Advertisements Muhammad Yousuf Kaburo and others.

According to a statement, discussions were held in detail on the promotion strategy for film projects prepared under the supervision of the information department.

Mr Memon said that the main objective of these film projects was to promote the national narrative and highlight positive trends in society.

He further said that the government wanted the true culture, history and beauty of Pakistan, especially Sindh, to be presented to the world in a modern and effective manner.

He said Sindh government aims to further strengthen cooperation with media houses and journalists.

The meeting reviewed the measures and facilities provided by the Sindh government for media houses and journalists.
