Suspect booked in sexual assault case
LARKANA: A case concerning the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl has been registered at the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh police station near Naudero.
The First Information Report (FIR No. 15/2026) was lodged by the survivor’s brother against the suspect.
According to the complaint filed under Sections 452 and 376(3) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the incident occurred on Sunday while the complainant and his wife were away at a hospital. The accused allegedly entered their residence and subjected the girl to a criminal assault as she was alone in home.
The police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody pending further investigation. Meanwhile, the survivor has undergone a medical examination at a local hospital.
In response to escalating tensions between the two families, ASP Ratodero Haider Ali Shah has deployed police contingents outside the residences of both parties as a precautionary measure to maintain order.
The complainant and his relatives held a protest outside the Naudero Press Club on Monday. He alleged that associates of the influential suspect have been issuing threats to his family from various telephone numbers. He also claimed that they were pressuring his family to agree on an out-of-court settlement.
