Wazir Club wins football tournament in thrilling final
SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The All Pakistan Football Tournament concluded at Scouts Stadium Wana on Saturday with Wazir Club Wana defeating Fame Academy Wana by two goals in an exciting and highly competitive final match.
A large number of football enthusiasts and young spectators witnessed the thrilling final contest between the two local teams.
The stadium remained packed throughout the match as supporters continuously cheered their favourite players and teams.
From the opening whistle, both sides demonstrated impressive skills, discipline and teamwork. The players competed with great passion and determination, making the match entertaining for the spectators.
Wazir Club Wana took control of the game during the first half and succeeded in scoring the opening goal after a well-organised attacking move.
Following the goal, Fame Academy Wana made several attempts in an effort to level the score, but the defensive line of Wazir Club proved strong and prevented the opposition from creating scoring opportunities.
In the second half, Wazir Club Wana continued to dominate possession of the football and adopted a more aggressive strategy to materialise their advantage. Their efforts paid off when the team scored a second goal, further increasing pressure on Fame Academy Wana.
Despite trailing by two goals, Fame Academy Wana continued to fight back and produced several promising moves. The players showed resilience and determination throughout the match, but they failed to convert their chances into goals.
The crowd remained fully engaged during the game and applauded every impressive pass, defensive tackle and attacking move. The energetic atmosphere inside the stadium reflected the growing popularity of football among the youth of Lower South Waziristan.
Following the final whistle, celebrations erupted among Wazir Club supporters as players and fans marked the victory with enthusiasm.
A prize distribution ceremony was later held at the stadium, where trophies and cash prizes were awarded to both the winning and runner-up teams.
RATION: Alkhidmat Foundation distributed ration packages among families in the border area of Angoor Adda in Lower South Waziristan.
The organisation distributed food supplies to 75 affected families in different areas near the Angoor Adda border.
The relief packages included flour, rice, cooking oil, sugar and other essential food items.
Speaking to the media, Alkhidmat Foundation Lower South Waziristan president Maulana Umar Wazir said the organisation had always worked with the spirit of humanitarian service and support for people in distress.
