PESHAWAR: A schoolteacher was shot dead in front of the school gate in Bara tehsil of Khyber district on Wednesday, causing panic and fear among residents. According to a police report, the incident took place in Jan Khan Kalay, where unidentified assailants opened fire on a computer teacher, Musafir Shah, outside a government high school. The attackers fled the scene immediately after committing the crime.

Following the incident, a wave of fear spread across the area. Police officials arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the killing.

The deceased is reported to belong to the Bar Qambarkhel tribe. His body was shifted to a hospital for legal formalities. Later, it was handed over to the family.
