Sisters, PTI leaders barred from meeting Imran once again

ISLAMABAD: The sisters of Imran Khan and PTI leaders were once again not allowed to meet the incarcerated party leader on Tuesday.

Three sisters of Mr Khan arrived at Adiala jail as per routine but were informed by law enforcement officials that they could not proceed.

Aleema Khan had appealed to the public for a large number of PTI leaders and workers to gather at Adiala jail, but the turnout was not impressive. Those present included Salman Akram Raja, Junaid Akbar, and others.

After being stopped outside the jail, Aleema Khan expressed hope that more people would arrive to exert pressure, but appeared disappointed due to the closing time for meetings. She said it was unfortunate that courts were not delivering justice.

Noreen Khan, speaking to the media, said, “They believe they are not answerable to anyone, but they do not realise that there is Allah. Imran Khan is the identity of Pakistan and will remain in the country, whereas they will not.”

Uzma Khan stated that more pressure needed to be applied to ensure meetings with Imran Khan.

“Khan sahib had said that parliamentarians should come out and reach Adiala jail. It will become news if they are arrested. Imran Khan is in solitary confinement, and leaders are underground. I suggest they come out of their homes,” she added.

Mr Raja said there was no single leader in PTI. “We are all workers, and we have come here to the jail,” he said, adding that he had no differences with Aleema Khan.
