Children dispute claims three lives in Bannu
BANNU: A dispute over children, some two months ago, turned into a deadly incident in Bannu, resulting in the tragic killing of two brothers and a child here on Sunday, the police said.
The unfortunate incident occurred inside a welding shop in the jurisdiction of the city police station on Jaman Road, the police said.
The alleged suspect, Imran, a resident of Jaman Road, reportedly opened fire on those in the shop.
As a result of the firing, Zafar Ali and his brother, Adnan, died on the spot, while Zafar Ali’s seven-year-old son, Haroon, also lost his life after being hit by bullets.
Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the attack was a dispute that began two months ago over children, which later escalated into a serious enmity.
Upon receiving the information, the city police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu.
After completing legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the heirs.
The police have registered a case on the complaint of Hasan, son of Zafar Ali, and have launched efforts to arrest the suspect.
