Dacoit gunned down by security guard
TOBA TEK SINGH: A citizen was shot dead by a dacoit, who was later killed by the firing of a security guard at a filling station in Faisalabad on Friday evening.
Police said that a robber attempted to snatch the car of Saeed Ahmad of Pirmahal Chak 323 GB in the Roshanwala Police area on Samundri Road. Police claimed when Saeed offered resistance, the outlaw opened fire and critically injured him and fled without the car.
Saeed was being shifted to the Allied Hospital, but he succumbed to his injury on the way.
Police claimed that the dacoit then attempted to snatch another car at a filling station on Samundri Road in D-Type Colony Police area. During this attempt, the dacoit fired on filling station’s gunman Asif Jat, who also returned the fire and killed him on the spot.
Police said the suspect was identified as Muhammad Ehsan of Chak 243 RB and was wanted by the Lahore and Faisalabad police in a number of robbery and theft cases.
