HYDERABAD: The Sind Chief Minister, Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, said here today [April 29] that the provincial Government has decided to deal … ruthlessly with those elements who wanted to destroy academic peace in the province. Talking to newsmen … he said that the Government was fully alive to the situation in Sind University created by a very negligible number of students whose only aim was to pollute academic peace. He said that he has already issued instructions to the concerned authorities to show no leniency to the mischief mongers and maintain the honour and dignity of educational institutions at all costs. [Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Lahore,] top class comedian of the Pakistan film industry, Munawar Zarif, died here this afternoon [April 29] of heart attack… . He was 35. Munawar Zarif was the youngest brother of Zarif, who was also a renowned comedian of his time. Initially Munawar joined the … industry as a comedian but later did title roles in … films. Currently he was performing roles of hero and comedian in about 50 films.
