Automated duty assignment for practical examiners

LAHORE: As part of its educational reforms, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has launched an automated conduct system for assigning duties to practical examiners.

This is the first time in the board’s history that human intervention has been removed from the appointment process. The transition to automation aims to eliminate the “culture of recommendation” and ensure that no examiner can influence their placement at a specific centre.

The move is part of a broader strategy to digitise all board processes for better efficiency and duties are now assigned through a specialised software algorithm, ensuring fair distribution among qualified examiners.

Following the proposal by CM’s Adviser on Education Reforms Muzammil Mehmood, the board is moving toward centralised marking for practical examinations to maintain high academic standards.

Board officials confirmed that all arrangements for the upcoming practical exams had been completed. This technological shift was expected to restore stakeholder confidence and set a precedent for other educational boards across the province.
