KHUZDAR: A passenger coach caught fire near Gadani area of Hub district and gutted while coming from Panjgur on Monday.

Police said the coach was on its way to Karachi coming from Panjgur area of Makran area.

“Suddenly a fire broke out in the coach when it reached Gadani engulfing the vehicle within a few minutes,” police officials said, adding there were no casualties as there were no passengers in the coach.

The cause of the fire was presence of smuggled Iranian petrol loaded in the coach. The driver and cleaner saved their lives by jumping from the coach.

Deputy Commissioner Hub Juma Dad Khan Mandokhail and SP of Hub Muhammad Baloch immediately reached the area while rescue teams also responded promptly and brought the fire under control.

Police have arrested the driver and cleaner of the coach. Further investigation is underway.
