A diplomatic source in Tehran has confirmed to Dawn that the Pakistan embassy and the Pakistan House in the Iranian capital have not been targeted.

He said this in response to a query about reports circulating on social media that there had been bombing near the embassy and the Pakistan House.

“The Pakistan embassy and Pakistan House in Tehran were not targeted. Their neighbourhoods — Fatimid and Pasdaran — were bombed heavily. The embassy had been operating from a location outside Tehran since the start of the war, but the staff had returned for the March 23 ceremony,” the source told Dawn.
