India’s foreign ministry has confirmed that the two people killed in a drone attack in Oman were Indian nationals, Al Jazeera reports.

“We lost two Indian nationals today in an attack in Sohar, Oman in the ongoing conflict in West Asia,” Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, has said.

“Several other Indian nationals were also injured. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
