Iran wants to ensure that a war will not be imposed again on it in the future, deputy foreign minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi has told AFP, as the conflict rages with the United States and Israel.

“We want to see that war is not going to be imposed again on Iran,” he has said in an interview in Tehran.

“When the war started last June, after 12 days, there was [a] so-called cessation of hostilities … but after eight or nine months, they regrouped and they did it again.”
