US Central Command (Centcom) has published a fact check on X, denying a claim by Iran that an American F-15 fighter jet was shot down south of Tehran.

“An IRGC leader has claimed that a US F-15 was shot down today south of Tehran. LIE,” Centcom has said. “No US fighter aircraft have been shot down by Iran. US forces continue to exercise air superiority over vast swaths of Iran. TRUTH.”
