PHA plants free trees at 150 houses
LAHORE: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) on Tuesday planted trees in 150 households under its free home delivery of plants service.
PHA Managing Director Raja Mansoor Ahmad said the initiative received an encouraging response with 272 calls received on the PHA Helpline 1399 on the first day alone.
Plantation teams promptly completed work in 150 houses while 122 requests were currently being processed.
The PHA gardeners were visiting homes to plant trees under supervision from horticulture directors to ensure effective implementation.
Ahmad urged the citizens to actively participate in making Lahore greener and healthier and reminded residents that they could request free plants via the helpline from 8am to 4pm.
The campaign, a part of the Green Lahore Vision, was being expanded further to transform the city into a greener and more beautiful urban space.
