Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a message congratulating Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on becoming Iran’s supreme leader.

In addition to congratulating the new supreme leader, the premier extended his condolences over the assassination of his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“I am confident that the new supreme leader would guide Iran towards peace, stability and prosperity in the years ahead,” PM Shehbaz has said in a post on X.
