Governor urges restoring ex-Fata, Balochistan’s medical seats

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has urged the restoration of medical seats allocated for students from Balochistan and the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), saying the number of seats should be increased, and not reduced, in line with the growing population.

Speaking on Monday, he said the previously allocated 333 medical seats for students from Balochistan and former Fata had been reduced to 121, which is a matter of serious concern.

He urged the Higher Education Commission to immediately restore the 333 medical seats reserved for students from the two regions.
