Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, that Tehran was not responsible for drone incursions into Azerbaijan, but pledged to investigate the incident, Aliyev’s office said, according to Reuters.

“Noting that the incident involving (an) airstrike on Nakhchivan had no connection with Iran, President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasised that the incident would be investigated,” the statement said.
