French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, calling on Iran to halt strikes against other countries in the region and to end the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, AFP reported.

In a post on X, Macron also reiterated France’s position that a diplomatic solution was necessary to end the conflict.
