President Vladimir Putin has reaffirmed Russia’s “principled stance for an immediate cessation of hostilities and rejection of force to resolve issues with Iran”, the Russian embassy in South Africa said.

Putin’s statement came during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian.
