Iran has carried out missile attacks targeting Kurdish armed opposition groups in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Al Jazeera reports according to Iranian state television.

The report says Iranian forces struck positions belonging to what Tehran described as anti-Iran separatist groups based in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region of northern Iraq.
