Iran’s armed forces respect the sovereignty of Turkiye and deny firing any missile towards its territory, the military said in a statement carried by state media.

Turkiye’s defence ministry said yesterday that a ballistic missile fired from Iran toward Turkish airspace after passing Syria and Iraq was destroyed by Nato air and missile defence systems over the eastern Mediterranean.
