RAWALPINDI: On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, free home delivery has been launched from Model Bazaars under the ‘Sahulat on the Go’ initiative.
The objective of this initiative is to provide maximum relief to the public during Ramazan and to mitigate the impact of inflation.
During a briefing to the Commissioner Rawalpindi Abdul Aamer Khattak, it was informed that a free home delivery service is also being provided at the Model Sahulat Bazaar Rawalpindi. Since 1st Ramazan, a total of 360 free home deliveries have been completed. Through this service, special facilitation is being extended to senior citizens, persons with disabilities and women.
The meeting was informed that Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars are fully operational across the division. In all districts of Rawalpindi Division, including Jhelum, Chakwal, Murree and Attock, essential commodities are being provided to citizens at affordable prices.
Commissioner Rawalpindi has directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure the availability and quality of food items at Sahulat Bazaars. Price Control Magistrates have been instructed to conduct daily inspections and take strict action against hoarding and profiteering.
He further emphasised ensuring cleanliness, security, parking arrangements, and the provision of clean drinking water at Sahulat Bazaars so that citizens do not face any inconvenience. Providing maximum relief to the public during the blessed month of Ramadan remains the top priority of the district administration.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Abdul Aamer Khattak appealed to citizens to benefit from the Sahulat Bazaars and to immediately contact the concerned district administration in case of any complaint so that timely redressal may be ensured.
