During the visit, the assistant commissioner gave a detailed briefing to the DC regarding the demand, supply, availability, and prices of items in the market and bazaars. He personally checked the bidding process in the market and the quality of essential items at the stalls in the Ramazan Bazaar.

According to the briefing by the Market Committee, due to effective administrative strategy, local garlic had become cheaper by Rs380, onions by Rs30, and potatoes by up to Rs35 per kg compared to last year, which was a major success for the district administration.

He said that currently, 10 kg bags of flour were available at Rs850 and sugar at Rs140 per kg in sufficient quantities in Ramazan Bazaars, and there was no shortage of any item in the market. He reaffirmed that the district administration was utilising all resources to provide affordable and quality items to citizens, and strict legal action would continue against all those involved in price hike.
