‘Mother tongue preserves nation’s identity’: Balochistan governor

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail lauded a Unesco initiative aimed at enhancing multilingual education and harnessing youth potential, describing the effort as commendable in his remarks marking International Mother Language Day.

He said mother languages are essential for preserving national identity, fostering knowledge and ensuring long-term development.

“Mother languages play a key role in preserving a nation’s identity, expanding knowledge and thought, and ensuring long-term development,” the governor said.
