MODERN AO SCREW FIXATION SURGERY: For the first time, a modern AO screw fixation surgery has been successfully performed at District Headquarters Hospital MTI Bannu.
Assistant Prof Nek Muhammad and his team carried out a successful surgical treatment of a neck of femur fracture using the modern AO screw fixation technique under fluoroscopic guidance. The surgery was completed in accordance with modern medical standards and established surgical protocols. With the assistance of fluoroscopy, accurate bone positioning and effective screw fixation were ensured.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in improving orthopedic services at the hospital and reflects the institution’s continued progress toward providing advanced medical facilities.
The introduction of such complex surgical procedures at the district headquarters hospital is a major positive development for the public. Patients will no longer need to travel to major cities for such operations, as these facilities are now available locally.
