QUETTA: Security forces have launched a combing search operation in the Mand area of Kech district following a grenade attack at an open court (khuli kutchehry) held by Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Mir Barkat Rind.

However, Mr Rind and the people present at the event escaped unharmed as the grenade exploded in the parking lot. Officials said the incident occurred in Mand, a town near the Iranian border in Kech district.

Security for Mr Rind has been increased following the grenade attack, the officials added.
