NCA’s Bachelors Degree Show opens

LAHORE: The Bachelors’ Degree Show 2025 of National College of Arts opened on Wednesday at a ceremony attended by students, art fanciers and people from various walks of life.

The opening ceremony of the event was held at the NCA, Lahore. The exhibition was inaugurated by NCA Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Murtaza Jafri.

A large number of NCA faculty members, students, prominent figures from the field of fine arts, art enthusiasts, and people from various walks of life attended the event. Creative works by graduating students from all departments of the National College of Arts were put on display, receiving wide appreciation from the visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr Murtaza Jafri praised the students’ creativity, hard work, and innovation. In his address, Mr Jafri stated that the NCA Bachelors’ Degree Show is a unique and high-quality creative event in Pakistan. He noted that students from diverse disciplines, including Fine art, visual communication design, textile design, ceramics design, product design, architecture, film and television, and musicology, are given an excellent opportunity to showcase their creative potential. He added that every year thousands of visitors from across Pakistan as well as from abroad attend the exhibition.

There was a red carpet reception for guests, people from different walks of life, families of students whose work was put on display at the show, artists, art fanciers and art collectors.

The opening of the degree show was a wonderful event, the art lovers praised the artworks by the students. The show will continue till Jan 23. Students through their work had thrown light on different aspects of life, the social fabric and on other diverse topics. The show was explicit of the immense talent NCA students showed through their artworks.
