Master Changan Motors unveils three brands and eleven new models at PAPS 2025
Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) marked a major milestone at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025 as it introduced three brands and eleven new models, including the country’s first CKD range-extended electric SUV, the Deepal S05. The launch formed part of what the company described as Pakistan’s most extensive New Energy Vehicle (NEV) showcase to date.
MCML also introduced Deepal’s new brand vision, Moving the New Generation, which places intelligent sustainable mobility at the centre of its future strategy.
The highlight of the showcase was the Deepal S05, Pakistan’s first CKD Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV). The C-segment SUV pairs electric driving with long-range capability and has been co-developed with global firms CATL and Huawei. Built on the EPA1 Pure Electric Platform, it offers a combined range of more than 1,000 km along with a fully electric driving experience supported by an onboard range extender.
Designed by Klaus Zyciora, former global design chief of the Volkswagen Group, the S05 features spacecraft-inspired styling, frameless doors and a premium intelligent interior. It also offers the longest wheelbase in its category and provides 23 per cent more cabin space than standard C-segment SUVs. Comfort features include a Zero Gravity co-pilot seat, while safety and convenience are supported by more than twenty L2 ADAS functions including Remote Straight In and Out Parking.
MCML announced an introductory price of Rs9,999,000 for the S05. Bookings have opened nationwide with a limited price lock in February and a complimentary 3.3 kWh portable charger for early customers at Changan or Deepal dealerships.
Also unveiled was the Deepal E07, an ultra-luxury E-segment SUV based on a Multi-Truck concept that blends high-end design with utility. It offers a dual-motor AWD system producing 590 hp, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, air suspension and Zero Gravity seating. The model was introduced in Pakistan at Rs19,000,000 with bookings starting from Rs4,000,000.
MCML further announced the arrival of Avatr, a new ultra-premium electric brand co-developed by Changan, Huawei and CATL. Avatr aims to bring advanced intelligent mobility and futuristic design into Pakistan’s EV landscape.
Speaking at the event, Danial Malik, chief executive officer (CEO) of Master Changan Motors Limited, said the company was entering a transformative phase.
“At Master Changan we represent a new mindset that reimagines how Pakistan moves. Over the next two years we will have three brands and eleven new vehicles. With innovations like the Deepal S05 REEV, the Hunter K50 REEV pickup and the upcoming launch of Avatr 11, we are bridging the gap between conventional and electric mobility and bringing new-energy technology to every segment.”
