KARACHI: A five-year-old boy was run over and killed by a fast-moving water tanker in the SITE area on Friday.

Area SHO Imran Afridi said that Azlan Afsar, his father and mother were heading someplace on their motorbike when he fell and a tanker coming from behind ran him over.

The driver was arrested and the heavy vehicle impounded, he added.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
