Continuing his media briefing in Karachi, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah termed the Shank Bund as the “most concerning”.

He said the Shank Bund, a sensitive structure protecting 5,000 acres of katcha land and the Qadirpur Loop Bund, used to be washed away at around 250,000-300,000 cusecs.

However, he added, “This year, we have passed 550,000 cusecs through it, but now more water is coming, so we have to prepare for that as well.”
