GUJRANWALA: The Garjakh police on Tuesday arrested a woman who was seen in viral social media videos while stealing motorcycles.

Police said suspect Laiba Javed was involved in several incidents of motorcycle theft in Garjakh and adjoining areas and two motorcycles had been recovered from her. According to police, the arrest was made by a team led by SHO Sub-Inspector Mahmoodul Hassan. The operation was carried out using CCTV footage, human intelligence, and modern tracing techniques.

City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ayaz Saleem praised the police team and said the force was committed to eliminating criminal elements from society.

“Criminals are a menace to society and will be dealt with an iron hand to ensure peace for citizens,” he said.
