KARACHI: Pakistani archers Sanober Ameen and Areeb Hussain secured the country’s first-ever medals at an Asian-level archery event, winning silver and bronze, respectively at the WAA Asian Challenge Archery Championship in Incheon, South Korea on Sunday.

National junior gold medalist Sanober claimed silver in the women’s team event. Areeb took bronze in the men’s team event.Over 80 archers from 17 Asian countries competed in the championship. The event was held under the banner of World Archery Asia Joint Training alongside a collaborative training camp in which the Pakistani archers participated.
